I asked her to make an Art Nouveau Sherlock for me - and she made not one but two beautiful pictures! I couldn't help but be inspired myself, so here's the result of one week's hard work...
It's done in imitation of Alphonse Mucha's posters - here's a link to the one I originally started working on: [link] It would've made a wonderful base for a Hound of the Baskervilles poster, but then I couldn't think out the details and turned it into a Great Game one instead. I feel sort of silly having inserted smiley faces in what aspires to be an art nouveau piece.
(I only used reference for the face, so bits of anatomy may be not-exactly-correct...)
That is quite awesome. I love the addition of the smiley faces, the spray can and little details. Very nice layout, as well. I find the fuzzy lines a bit odd, though. But, you know, awesome work. You've captured his features and expression perfectly.

Can you believe, it never occurred to me before that the background could be seen as the face of a rotary phone (and it's not that I'm too young to recognize one) - it was just the usual decorative Mucha thingy I drew there. Good catch!

Isn't it a shame,
The reaper said,
He is quite alone here,
And still waiting for you...

I create what I hear. I hear what I see.
Legs. Unf.
I looked like Moriarty with a look of surproise on his face.
God this is perfect.
